「THE FIRST TAKE」は、一発撮りのパフォーマンスを鮮明に切り取るYouTubeチャンネル。
第491回は、JESSE(Vo.Gt)、KOKI (Gt.)、 T$UYO$HI(Ba.)、ZAX(Dr.)からなるパンクスピリット溢れるオルタナティブロックバンド、The BONEZが初登場。
披露するのは、ロックシーンをそれぞれのフィールドで開拓してきた、The BONEZとDragon Ashによる世紀のマッチアッププロジェクトからリリースされた「Straight Up feat. Kj」。
両バンドのベーシストであり今プロジェクトの旗頭であるT$UYO$HIが作曲を担当し、JESSEとKjが詞を書き下ろした本楽曲タイトルの「Straight Up」には、“互いに腹を割る”という意味があり、それぞれのバンドのこれまでの歩みと、失くした友への思いやこれからの時代を切り開いていくという意志が込められている。

Episode 491 features the first appearance of The BONEZ, an alternative progressive band bursting with punk spirit, at THE FIRST TAKE.
They will perform “Straight Up feat. KJ,” a track from the match-up project by The BONEZ and Dragon Ash, 2 of the greatest acts from the Japanese rock scene.
With music by T$UYO$HI, the bassist of both bands and the main instigator behind this project, and lyrics by JESSE and KJ, the title “Straight Up” symbolizes the importance of being open and honest with each other. It reflects on the journey both bands have taken, their sentiments for friends they have lost and their continued resolve to forge new paths into the future.
