View Details Little Charlie, an eight-year-old boy (played by Roméo Botzaris), was eagerly looking forward to the coming of Christmas because his father, Pierre (played by Vincent Lindon), had promised to give him a bicycle as a holiday gift. But when he finally waited for his father to come home, he found that his gift was just a white model airplane. Sensing Charlie's disappointment, his father promised to give him a bicycle on his birthday.

Soon after, Pierre, who was a pilot, unfortunately died while on a mission, leaving only his grief-stricken wife, Catherine (played by Isabelle Carré), and their son Charlie to depend on each other. Every night, Charlie slept with the airplane his father had given him, hoping to be closer to his father in this way.
